     Yu-Tung Liu received Doctor of Design from Harvard in association with MIT. He is vice president of Asia University and the founding professor of Graduate Institute of Architecture at NCTU, Taiwan. Visiting positions include Harvard, Oslo, Chile, Technion and Beijing. He was the president of Computer Aided Architectural Design and Research in Asia Association from 2002 to 2004. Theoretical books and articles had been published by Birkhauser and in ISI journals, awarded the 2003 Ivan Petrovic Prize in Europe and invited as an international critic of the Italian pavilion of the 2006 Venice Biennale. Design works had been selected as the Architect of the Month by the Korean magazine Archiworld and invited to exhibitions in Venice, Japan, France, Chile, Florence, Barcelona, Hong Kong, China. The solo exhibition of his studio “Architecture of Tomorrow” had been selected “Top Ten Public Exhibition in Taiwan”. He has established the Far East International Digital Architectural Design Award in 2000, Acer Digital Award in 2003, the Taiwan-Mainland Far East Architecture Award in 2007 and Spatial Native Language Architecture Award in 2008. He has also invited Peter Eisenman, Tadao Ando, Toyo Ito and Zaha Hadid to design various projects in Taiwan. He is the commissioner of the Next-Gene project which includes 10 international and 10 Taiwanese architects. The Next-Gene was published as a special issue in A+U magazine in June 2008 and invited to participate the 11th Venice Biennale. He has been selected by Peter Cook and Toyo Ito to join the “New Trends of Architecture in Europe and Asia-Pacific 2008-2010”
