Asia University’s InterExpo Explores New Fields and an AI-Powered Future
Connecting Precision Education 3.0, AI applications, and international exchange to help students explore diverse learning pathways

President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai encourages students to embrace AI-driven learning and cross-disciplinary exploration during the 2026 InterExpo.
Asia University held the 2026 Interdisciplinary Exploration Expo (InterExpo) on October 7–8 on the lawn in front of the A101 International Conference Center. Under the theme “Explore Beyond Disciplines, Generate a Brighter Future,” the event brought together resources for interdisciplinary learning, artificial intelligence, self-directed learning, and international exchange, encouraging students to explore learning opportunities beyond their own departments.
AU President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai noted that AI is changing how people learn, work, and solve problems. Alongside a solid foundation in their chosen fields, students need interdisciplinary perspectives, the ability to use AI, and a willingness to explore and continue learning. He explained that AU’s Precision Education 3.0 initiative helps students identify their interests and strengths and plan learning pathways suited to their goals. He also encouraged students to make use of the expo’s resources, explore different disciplines, and put their learning into practice by combining professional knowledge with AI applications.
The event also featured robotics and intelligent vehicle demonstrations presented by AU’s joint research center for the intelligent vehicle industry and Hailiang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The demonstrations gave faculty and students a close-up look at unmanned vehicles and smart technologies, helping students understand how knowledge from different disciplines can be combined in practice and how classroom learning connects with technological applications.
With a focus on integrating AI into interdisciplinary learning, the expo encouraged students to connect knowledge from their own fields with ideas from other disciplines and to use AI to support learning, creative thinking, and problem-solving. By discovering what other departments offer and exploring interdisciplinary and self-directed learning opportunities, students could identify new ways to build on their expertise and pursue their interests.
The event also featured information on international exchange and overseas learning, extending students’ perspectives beyond campus. By exploring exchange and service-learning opportunities, students were encouraged to consider how they could apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings while developing communication, practical, and self-directed learning skills through cross-cultural interaction and teamwork.
Adding to the event’s appeal was a prize draw featuring two MacBook Neo laptops, two iPads, and two sets of AirPods Pro 3. Alongside the chance to win prizes, students were encouraged to discover campus resources, courses, and learning opportunities worth exploring further.
By connecting interdisciplinary learning, AI applications, and international exchange, InterExpo aimed to encourage self-directed learning across campus. The event invited students to build on their interests and make use of courses, practical experiences, and overseas learning resources to shape their own learning journeys.

Faculty and students gather at Asia University's 2026 InterExpo, celebrating interdisciplinary learning, collaboration, and innovation.
